As a passionate and dedicated scholar, Nakibuule Betty, has always been drawn to the majestic and awe-inspiring world of mountains. With a strong academic background in Mountain Ecosystems and Management, she has developed a deep understanding of the complex relationships between human and environmental systems in these unique landscapes. Currently, she is pursuing an MSc in Disaster Risk Management, with a focus on mountain-specific hazards and vulnerabilities. Her research interests lie at the intersection of environmental sustainability, community resilience, and disaster risk reduction in mountainous regions. She is eager to contribute to the growing body of knowledge in this field and explore innovative solutions to the complex challenges facing mountain communities.
With a strong commitment to practical application, Betty is also passionate about volunteering and working in mountainous regions, applying her skills and expertise to support local communities and conservation efforts. Upon completing her MSc, she hopes to embark on a career that combines research, practice, and advocacy for sustainable mountain development.
