Lillian Asingura is a dedicated researcher specializing in mountain ecosystem conservation and biodiversity and urban dynamics. With a Master’s degree in Geo-information Science and Technology from the Makerere University, she brings a unique blend of skills in geospatial analysis and ecological research to her work. Her primary focus is on understanding and preserving the delicate balance of mountain ecosystems, which are critical habitats for numerous plant and animal species. Her research approach aims to address the challenges posed by climate change and human activities in mountainous regions. By leveraging geospatial technology, she investigates the patterns of species distribution, habitat fragmentation, and the impact of environmental changes on biodiversity. Her work not only contributes to scientific knowledge but also informs policy-making and conservation strategies to protect these vital ecosystems. Outside of her professional endeavors, Lillian is an enthusiastic participant in mountain sports. She enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and skiing, activities that allow her to experience firsthand beauty and challenges of the mountain environments.
